BASH FOR THE BUDDIES

THURSDAY, JULY 9, 2026

ABOUT THE 2026
BASH FOR THE BUDDIES

Golden Connections: A Roaring '20s Party!

“I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties, there isn’t any privacy,” said the character Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby.

Join us on Thursday, July 9th, for an evening of unrestrained glamour, timeless elegance, and generous philanthropy as we step into the spirited celebrations of the 1920s at the base of Aspen Highlands. Think champagne toasts, honored guests, cutting the rug, reinvented cocktails, and a festive evening with friends new and old.

Together, we’ll build on 53 years of history to ensure mentorship stays strong and accessible for youth from Aspen, to Glenwood Springs, and Rifle.

Enjoy live music, prohibition-era delights, heavy hors d'oeuvres, dinner stations, and dancing under the stars as we come together for a dazzling celebration to benefit youth mentoring.

Dress to impress in your favorite flapper-chic, finest 1920s glad rags, crispest linen suits, and classiest assortment of feathers, fringe, and pearls for a roaring good time and a night of celebration, connection, and purpose.

2026 Bash for the Buddies:

  • Location: On the lawn at the base of Aspen Highlands

  • Honoring: David and Lauren Chazen for their many years of generosity in furthering the mission of the Buddy Program.

  • Theme: Golden Connections: Step back in time to the Roaring 20s at our most intimate gala yet.

  • Flow: The evening begins at 5:30 PM with an extended cocktail hour at the BIGGEST ever Taste of the Valley, featuring appetizers and handcrafted cocktails from the Roaring Fork Valley’s top chefs and mixologists. A champagne toast at 7 p.m. recognizing our honorees, Lauren and David Chazen, dinner stations inside the tent, a brief program, live auction, paddle raise, and dancing with a DJ will follow.

  • Parking: Guests can use the parking garage at Aspen Highlands at no cost. If you are being dropped off, use the plaza level drop-off area.

  • Dress: Think Great Gatsby-inspired styles, flapper-chic, zoot suits, linen, three-piece suits, plus feathers, fringe, and pearls. We recommend shoes suitable for strolling on grass and dancing the night away, of course. Please bring a jacket or wrap to stay warm well into the evening. If all else fails, come as you are—Aspen casual always works!

  • Live Auction and Paddle Raise: Back this year is an awesome Live Auction that you won’t want to miss. These items will only be available for bidding by those attending the Bash in person. Follow our auction e-blasts throughout the month of June to see what’s on deck. And everyone will have a chance to raise their paddle for the cause during our Paddle Raise following the auction.

  • Online Auction: Can’t make it to the Bash? You can still make history. Our Online Auction opens on Tuesday, July 7th, offering you the chance to bid on exclusive items and experiences until Friday, July 10th at 4:00 PM. Registration is free—join the fun from anywhere.
