Allie Reyes

Allie joined the Buddy Program as an AmeriCorps member in the Fall of 2017. Allie has always found working with children to be a rewarding experience and has worked alongside them since 2011. She was a caregiver for several years, volunteered with Emergency Family Assistance Association in Boulder, CO and was a partner for The Artistic Armory, a music and artist community center in Las Vegas, NV. She graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and has since continued her education seeking a BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Allie first visited the community of Roaring Fork Valley in 2016, when she began working for Summer Advantage as a Teacher’s Assistant. This position allowed her to find her passion in creating meaningful relationships assisting the children, as well as, helping to empower those individual youth in the community that may be underserved. Her other passions lay in creative outlets like photography and enjoying the sunshine that Colorado so often offers! Allie would love to one day combine her interest of art and psychology and have a practice of Art Therapy with children.
