Kathryn Sansone — Development Director
Kathryn’s (Katie) professional background is in non-profit and arts education; and has always been centered around youth and community. For the past decade, she worked as the Associate Dean and Dean of Students for the Aspen Music Festival which, for a period, included overseeing all community and education programming. Prior to her time at AMFS, Katie worked as a public school teacher and for multiple non-profit organizations in development, marketing, and public relations.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy with a Music in Education Concentration from New England Conservatory of Music. She continues her work with local youth as an after school music teacher and is co-founder of the Maroon Bel Canto Children’s Chorus. Katie also stays connected with her local community by serving as a Capital Campaign co-chair for Blue Lake and Little Blue Preschools.
Katie lives in Blue Lake with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Cooper and Kennedy. As a family, they enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, biking, traveling, and all things outdoors.
