Ainhoa was first hired as a Case manager in Basalt in February 2013. She previously worked for Pitkin County, the department of Human Services and as a High school teacher and a Community Liaison for the Roaring Fork School District in Basalt. She has a Master’s degree in foreign languages and Secondary Education from the University of The Basque Country, and a Postgraduate in Translation English-Spanish from the University Complutense of Madrid. Ainhoa first came to the U.S. from the Basque Country as an exchange student in college. Since then, she has been living between Europe and Colorado until 2010 when she and her husband decided to settle in Carbondale, CO. She loves traveling and meeting new people and cultures. She also loves teaching foreign languages, so she is currently a Spanish instructor at CMC. During her free time, Ainhoa enjoys being outdoors with her family and friends, hiking in the mountains, going back to the Mediterranean beaches in the summer and skiing in the winter, enjoying the beautiful blue sky in Colorado!
