What: Boogie's Diner Buddy 5 Mile Race to benefit the Buddy Program
Date: Sunday, July 4th, 2010
This event has become a tradition. This is a wonderful way to begin the Fourth of July celebration-among family and friends while supporting local children. If you sign up for the run, you are eligible for the family walk as well.
5-Mile Race:
The race begins and ends at Boogie's Diner. This year, there will be ONE start time at 8:00 a.m. Pace signs will be clearly marked to designate different running paces for our participants. Runners will be asked to line up according to their running ability.

One Mile Family and Canine Walk:
Our race is going to the dogs! Bring your favorite four-legged pal (on a leash please), to join in the fun with walkers and families, for a pleasant One Mile friendly walk. The walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. The more the merrier; it’s all for a terrific charity! Registered walkers get a tee shirt, race bib, and a chance at lots of drawing prizes. Registered dogs will get their own special Buddy Bandanna.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We will need assistance with....
- Work at the race pre-registration table in front of Boogie's Diner
- Hang banners
- Hand out t-shirts and race bibs
- Prepare and serve refreshments
- Man the Bouncy Houses
- Assist at water stations
- Assist the timing company
- Work the finish line
- Be a race course or walk route marshal
- Manage kids' dash and hand out ribbons
- Help with cleanup and breakdown
