Mission: The Buddy Program strengthens our community by guiding and inspiring youth through mentoring.

The following are options for your business to get involved and support the Buddy Program:

• Buddy Program Community Partnership (BPCP) - Businesses are encouraged to allow their employees to volunteer as mentors in the Buddy Program through this partnership. By allowing employees to volunteer in a school near the office for an hour each week, businesses can achieve a better working environment, greater community involvement, and enhance corporate goals. Buddy Program staff host an on-site recruitment presentation annually to update employees on the organization’s various programs and time commitments for volunteering. Volunteers are interviewed, screened and matched with youth by Buddy Program staff.




• Buddy Program Discount Program - While Buddy Pairs are encouraged to find low or no cost activities to do when they are together, many pairs enjoy taking advantage of the discounts that local businesses offer. No amount is too small!




• Buddy Program Activities - The Buddy Program offers 20 free activities (see: Calendar) throughout the year to Buddy Pairs in our programs. If you are interested in hosting an activity for Buddy Pairs, let us know!




• Buddy Program Auctions - Each year, the Buddy Program hosts “Boogie’s Bash for the Buddies”. The Bash includes both a Silent and Live Auction. Businesses throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond donate generously to the auctions, helping the Buddy Program raise nearly $200,000 through the auctions alone. If you are interested in making a donation, traditionally in the form of a Gift Certificate, please call (970) 920-2130.




• Event Volunteers – It takes 250 volunteers every summer over July 4th Weekend for the Buddy Program to successfully run both Boogie’s Bash for the Buddies, and Boogie’s Diner Buddy 5 Mile Race on July 4th. If you and/or your employees are unable to commit to volunteering as a Big Buddy, consider volunteering for a four hour shift between June 30th and July 4th.
