Buddies Go to X Games

Wednesday, January 25th, the Buddy Program hosted a very popular and fun activity at Winter X Games for our Buddy Pairs! With over 15 Buddy Pairs joining the fun, we met at the Base of Buttermilk to tour the X Games site. Our Buddies watched several live TV interviews with a few famous athletes before moving inside to the X Games Suites. The Buddy Pairs definitely enjoyed the warmth of the VIP suite with the incredible and exclusive views of the courses. The Buddies had fun completing an autograph Bingo ice-breaker game; many of them filling up the entire Bingo card instead of just one row! After enjoying hot pizza, we were joined by Elena Hight, an X Games snowboard competitor and member of the US Olympics team. The Little Buddies and Elena hit it off immediately with the youth firing off questions for her to answer. She happily signed autographs and posed for photographs with almost every single Little Buddy! It was such an exciting activity and many of our youth had the opportunity to experience X Games like never before!
