David Houggy, MBA – Executive Director (March 2012 – Present)
David joined the Buddy Program team as new Executive Director in 2012, bringing a wealth of experience in business development and strategic planning. Prior to the Buddy Program, he spent 15 years as a strategy consultant, including eight years at The Boston Consulting Group, where he held the position of Partner and Director. At BCG, David specialized in strategic growth and consumer marketing for a variety of both Fortune 500 companies and smaller organizations in the consumer, industrial, financial services and non-profit sectors. He is a founding member of the Advisory Board of the Colorado Mentoring Partnership, an organization founded to promote and advocate for mentoring throughout Colorado. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Aspen Science Center, dedicated to bringing STEM programming to the youth of the Roaring Fork Valley. David holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The University of Chicago, and both a B.S. and Master of Engineering in Applied Physics from Cornell University. He is an avid skier, cyclist, hiker and golfer, and enjoys classical and choral music, cooking, the philosophy of physics, and the New York Times crossword. He lives is Aspen with his two Labrador Retrievers, Lese and Tokaj.
